play list: december 2018

A lot has happened since the last “play list” post. Read on to get to know our newest team member, Morganne!

Who'd play you in a movie?

Morganne:
If I could have anyone play me in a movie, it'd probably be Krysten Ritter from Jessica Jones. She plays such an angsty character so well, but off-screen she's hilarious.

Micah:
Jeff Bridges – “I’m the Dude, so that’s what you call me. That or, uh His Dudeness, or uh Duder, or El Duderino, if you’re not into the whole brevity thing.”

Becky:
Claudia Kim (Representation matters!!). Or if I were letting other people answer this for me, Aubrey Plaza, in character as April from Parks & Recreation, playing me.

Olivia:
Amy Adams – I know she’d make me proud!

What's a new movie you're excited to see?

Micah:
Bohemian Rhapsody. I’m a big fan of Queen, and this movie is looking like it could be really good!

Becky:
A Star Is Born! True to form, I’ll probably still wait until it’s streaming, though, like I’m doing with Crazy Rich Asians, which was the last new movie I was excited to see.

Morganne:
Ever since Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War was released, the movie I've been most excited to see has been its sequel. It feels like forever since the first one came out. I wish I could just snap my fingers, and the next one would be out like that.

Jordan:
Baby Shark. It's new to me, and if I watch it on loop for an hour and a half then it’s as long as a movie.

If you could pick up a new skill in an instant what would it be?

Micah:
Wow… this is going to be a geeky answer. I’d like to be able to do some sort of computer coding. I’m pretty handy with a computer, but coding has never been a something I was very good at.

Morganne:
If I could pick up a new skill in an instant, it would probably have to be parkour. It seems like a really unique way to get in/stay in shape.

Jordan:
Multilingualism.

Kevin:
The ability to be a color commentator in multiple sports. Instant Bob Costas—that would be cool.

What was your favorite band 10 years ago?

Jordan:
Weird Al.

Kevin:
Chicago, which reminds me that Dialogue continues to be relevant after all these years.

Becky:
Phantom Planet. (R.I.P.) They broke up that year. I was crushed.

Micah:
I listen to a wide range of music, but at the time, I was still listening to a lot of classic rock, so I’d have to say Journey was probably my favorite band.

What was your AOL screen name?

Kevin:
cvwcorp, and I make no apologies for the fact that our company’s first e-mail address was cvwcorp@aol.com.

Olivia:
recycler014, you know, normal preteen stuff.

Jordan:
Arleartist. My middle name is Arlea, and I liked to draw.

Micah:
I don’t really remember, but it was probably like OStateFan2641. The number at the end being some arbitrary number that just gets tacked on the end because my screen name was clearly not unique enough to have not already been taken by a ton of other OSU fans at the time.
