deep cut: renewable energy certificates

You probably have a general idea of how wind turbines and solar panels capture renewable energy from the wind and sun. Once that energy is harnessed, though, do you know how it makes its way to homes and businesses?

Last fall, we worked with renewable energy leader Enel Green Power on an isometric animated explainer video to illustrate how Renewable Energy Certificates, or RECs, function as the currency of the green energy market. RECs allow companies to choose clean energy and confidently declare they’re powered by renewables—without having to overhaul their entire power infrastructure.
