deep cut: 3-D models

What do a waffle, a lacrosse helmet, and an inflatable air dancer have in common? Besides the obvious, they are all readily available for purchase as 3-D models on TurboSquid and CGTrader. Oh…and we made them!

We’re not your average, one-dimensional media company.

Ready-to-purchase 3-D models have never been more easily accessible than they are right now. Websites like TurboSquid and CGTrader have thousands and thousands of 3-D models from thousands and thousands of sellers. That presents a great opportunity for us to think and create outside the box.

Here at CVW, 3-D modeling is something of a specialty of ours, and recently we’ve had a lot of time to flex our modeling muscles and make some really fun and unique things to sell in 3-D marketplaces.

As far as modeling goes, I personally am really just a newb, coming in on the tail end of a long line of designers that have made all of this content. Still, it’s been really cool to begin to acquire that skill and see how the sausage gets made…or the waffles…or the lacrosse helmets, or the giant inflatable air dancers.
